Since the mid 1990s James Whelan has been winning in categories from go karts to open wheel and closed wheel racing cars at circuits across Europe. As a race instructor he has helped many drivers improve their speed and racecraft to become winners themselves, and also has the business acumen and experience to attract and deliver profitable relationships with sponsors.

He is currently part of Schwedenkreuz Motorsport, a professional and successful Swedish team, entering endurance races on the Germany's historic Nürburgring Nordschleife, such as the VLN and the gruelling ADAC 24hrs - the world's biggest motor race.

Away from the race circuits, James runs his own bespoke internet software and design company, enjoys getting his hands dirty on classic and modern sports cars, and is a well seasoned jazz musician, with hundreds of gigs and a dozen recordings to his name.
